Home Help that works for you
Assessments
Each of us in individual. Superior Care's homecare service embraces this fact and each of our clients' individual needs are taken in to account before we start supplying your package of care.
When you contact us, you will be given the opportunity to have a free homecare assessment. If you choose to receive a homecare assessment, a member of our trained homecare assessment team will visit you to discuss what is that you hope to achieve from the care package and to advise how Superior Care can help to support you. This process can involve your family or an advocate, if you wish.
Once we agree the package of care that will be delivered, we will let you know the fully inclusive weekly cost of providing the service and there are a variety of ways in you can pay for the care that you receive (click here for more information).
If you wish to proceed with a package of care, then the Manager or Homecare Specialist who visits you will complete a comprehensive care plan and risk assessment, which is the document that will guide your carers in the tasks that you require assistance with. This document is reviewed regularly; at least six monthly, to ensure that it remains appropriate - although a reassessment can be requested at any time. Your care plan may also be reviewed in the event that the members of your care team identify any possible changes in your requirements.
Selection of your care team and ongoing supervision
Once we have agreed the care plan with you, we will identify care workers who have the appropriate skills, training and availability to support you. You will be introduced to your carers by the Homecare Specialist or a Senior Care when they arrive for the first visit. You can rest assured that all home carers will have undergone a through screening and training programme but we also welcome your feedback on the team that supports you.
All carers are regularly supervised by a senior member of our team and undertakes regular training as well as an annual appraisal. We seek regular feedback from you.
At least weekly in advance, you will receive a rota which will tell you the carers that are due to work with you in the forthcoming week. In the event that this changes (due to, for example, sickness), then you will be notified in advance - so you will always know to expect! All of our carers are uniformed and carry an up to date identification card.
